LandMark White (LMW), a property valuation service provider, has advised Bank Australia of a data breach that has affected customers of a number of banks.
The data breach is limited to LMW’s system and Bank Australia systems have not been breached.
LMW has advised that the customer information that was disclosed relates to property valuations undertaken by LMW and includes customer name; contact details such as phone or email address; and details about the valued property.
A small number of Bank Australia customers are affected by this incident and we are in the process of contacting those customers.
We are taking this incident seriously and have implemented additional account monitoring for affected customers. We have also suspended property valuations by LMW while this incident is investigated.
