Who made this decision?

This decision was approved by the Board. This is not a decision that has been rushed or been taken lightly because we expect this will be the final time our bank changes its name.

We talked to customers as part of an 18 month-long process of considering whether bankmecu was the right name for the bank in the future.  As this is a change to our trading name rather than the company name, it did not require a change to the bank’s constitution which would need a customer vote.
