Bank Australia Directors

As owners of Bank Australia, our customers elect directors to the board. So, our directors are directly accountable to all customers.

From time to time, the board may appoint independent directors who bring specialist knowledge, skills and experience to help the board to meet its responsibilities.

Jennifer Dalitz - Chair

BA, MBA, GAICD, FCPA

Jennifer joined the Qudos Bank board as a director in 2019, serving as Chair until 30 June 2025. On 1 July 2025, Jennifer became a non-executive director of Bank Australia and was appointed Chair.

Jennifer is a CA and CPA qualified finance professional with extensive strategic and operational experience in financial services and management consulting. Her expertise spans the full spectrum of retail banking, business banking and wealth management; and she has led major customer strategy and change programs, complex business units, and diverse boards and management teams through periods of complex change.

Stephen Ferguson - Deputy Chair

Steve joined our board as an independent non-executive director in November 2020, and was appointed Chair in November 2023. Following the Bank Australia merger with Qudos Bank on July 1 2025, Steve is now the Deputy Chair of the merged bank. He is Deputy Chair of the Board, a member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Governance and Remuneration Committee. He is an Ex Officio Member of the Risk committee.

Steve has extensive experience in financial auditing and assurance having retired from professional services firm EY (Ernst & Young) as a Senior Partner in 2018. Throughout his career, Steve advised and led the audits of a wide range of large Australian and international businesses in the banking and financial services, infrastructure, telecommunications and retail sectors.

Steve is an Independent Director of Parkinson’s Australia where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee, and he is an external member of the University of New South Wales’ Audit Committee and Risk Committee.

Joe Dicks - Non-Executive Director

Joe joined the Qudos Bank Board as a director in 2020. On 1 July 2025, Joe became a non-executive director of Bank Australia following the merger with Qudos Bank.  

Joe is a registered Chartered Accountant with over 33 years’ experience in the finance, agriculture and aged cared (including retirement living) industries. His career spans corporate advisory, business restructuring, profit improvement and risk & governance advice. He is currently Chair of Campus Living Villages, as well as Non-Executive Director for Nido Education.

Anne-Marie O'Loghlin AM - Non-Executive Director

Anne-Marie joined the Bank Australia board as an independent non-executive director in November 2015.

Anne-Marie has extensive experience in financial management, stakeholder management and managing organisational growth. Anne-Marie has over 30 years’ experience as a company Director and Chair for a range of organisations including the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Utilities Trust of Australia, Northern Health, Netball Australia, Victorian Superannuation Board and Australian Council for Superannuation Investors and was a trustee on the MCG Trust.

Anne-Marie was previously CEO of HESTA, an industry superannuation fund and , Company Secretary to its trustee company HEST Australia Ltd from 1998 to 2015. Prior to this role she was Victorian Branch Secretary of the Australian Education Union and a primary school teacher.

Anne-Marie is currently Chair of TelstraSuper and TelstraSuper Financial Planning, and Deputy Chair of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.‍

Barry Jackson - Non-Executive Director

Barry joined the Qudos Bank board as a director in 2015. On 1 July 2025, Barry became a non-executive director of Bank Australia following the merger with Qudos Bank.  

Barry joined Qantas in 1987 and is currently an A380 Captain. Barry is a past President of the Australian and International Pilots Association (AIPA) (the professional body representing Qantas pilots), where he served as President for 5 years and as a member of the AIPA Committee of Management for 10 years.

Anthony Healy - Non-Executive Director

Anthony joined the Bank Australia board as an independent non-executive director in December 2021.  

Anthony is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Australian Business Growth Fund, a public private partnership between the Australian Government and a number of Australian banks.

Anthony holds deep knowledge and experience in banking across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, which will play an important role in guiding the bank through a period of transformation and continued growth. He has previously held senior executive roles at NAB, Bank of New Zealand and ANZ.

Clare Mazzetti - Non-Executive Director

Clare joined the Qudos Bank board as a director in 2020. On 1 July 2025, Claire became a non-executive director of Bank Australia following the merger with Qudos Bank.  

Clare has a diverse background in management consulting and the financial services industry holding roles which span sales, investment management, strategy, planning, program management and merger and acquisition functions. Most recently, Clare has led a range of regulatory and growth transformation programs for clients in the banking industry.

In addition to guiding organisations through change and transformation, Clare brings prior board experience across several sectors including the mutual sector, having previously served on the Police Bank board.

Simon O'Connor - Non-Executive Director

Simon joined the Bank Australia board as in independent non-executive director in November 2024.

Simon has operated at the intersection of economics, finance and sustainability for over two decades with extensive international experience as a leader and executive driving the development of responsible investment and sustainable finance through roles across finance, corporate and not for profit sectors.

Simon's most recent role as CEO of the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia (RIAA), the leading responsible investment and sustainable finance industry body across Australia and New Zealand. In this role he oversaw the growth and development of this sector together with RIAA’s 500 member organisations that represent over US$29 trillion in assets, with the goal of aligning capital with achieving a healthy and sustainable society, environment and economy.

Simon has been active across the region and internationally in responsible investment and sustainable finance initiatives, including having held roles as the inaugural chair of the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative, chair of the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance, member of the National Advisory Board on Impact Investing in New Zealand and a member of the Australian Minister for the Environment's Nature Finance Council.

Sally-Ann Williams - Non-Executive Director

Sally-Ann joined the Qudos Bank board as a director in 2020. On 1 July 2025, Sally-Ann became a non-executive director of Bank Australia following the merger with Qudos Bank.  

Sally-Ann has extensive experience spanning deep tech, technology transformation, innovation & entrepreneurship, inclusion, business development, commercialisation and transformation. Prior to becoming CEO of Cicada Innovations, Sally-Ann spent over 12 years at Google as an Executive Program Manager on the engineering team.  

Sally-Ann has also been involved in driving national engagement and change strategies in innovation & entrepreneurship, Computer Science and STEM education as a member of the COAG STEM Partnership Forum and contributed to the foundation of StartupAUS, a non-profit with a mission to transform Australia through technology entrepreneurship. She has led several cross-sector working groups to drive change both in policy and cultural transformation needed to grow a thriving technology driven economy. Sally-Ann is an advisor to several state and national working groups on tech & innovation and is a mentor and advisor to several industry and university incubators and accelerators including Startmate.

Dr Marcus Thompson AM - Non-Executive Director

Marcus Thompson joined the Bank Australia board as a non-executive director in January 2023.

Marcus is currently the Director of Cyber Compass Pty Ltd, an independent advisory focused on improving cybersecurity across a variety of industries – including banking and finance.

Marcus’ diverse experience, and deep knowledge across cybersecurity will play a critical role in the continued oversight of cybersecurity risk management and evolving challenges in banking.

Marcus was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2014 for his distinguished career in the Australian Defence Force where he served in a variety of command, regimental and Special Operations appointments.

Damien Walsh - Managing Director

Damien became Managing Director on 22 September 2011, after serving as General Manager of Corporate Services for eight years and also as Company Secretary. Damien has over 30 years of experience in the mutual banking sector.  

Damien is responsible for day-to-day management and operation of the bank. He works with the board in setting group strategy, monitoring group performance and budget, and ensuring the bank adheres to all prudential, legal and compliance matters.

Damien has been instrumental in shaping the bank’s direction and a purpose driven business committed to sustainable and responsible business practices.

Anna Milinkovic - Chief Financial Officer

Anna became Chief Financial Officer of Bank Australia Ltd in July 2025, and was previously Chief Financial Officer at Qudos Bank.  

Anna has senior executive responsibility for leading our finance, treasury, business performance, regulatory reporting and procurement functions.  

Anna has more than 25 years' diverse experience in the financial services industry. Anna previously served as Qudos Bank's (Qantas Staff Credit Union at the time) Financial Controller in 2005 before moving onto various senior management roles including Financial Controller at Westpac and General Manager Finance at Thales. Anna is a graduate of the AICD.

Steve Odgers - Chief Customer Officer

BSc (Mathematics), MBA, GAICD

Steve was appointed Chief Customer Officer in November 2023. Steve has over 25 years banking experience across Australia and Asia.

Steve is responsible for leading customer service, retail distribution, retail operations, retail and commercial impact lending, customer protection and financial intelligence functions across the Bank Australia and Qudos Bank brands.  

Steve is a Graduate of the AICD, holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and has completed the Executive Program in Digitisation and Industrialisation at MIT Sloan School of Management in Boston.

Sonya Clancy AM - Chief People Officer

Sonya joined Bank Australia as Chief People Officer in 2018. Sonya is an experienced senior leader having previously held Executive roles in human resource, marketing and communication in the banking, finance and manufacturing sectors.

Sonya has senior executive responsibility for our people and culture operations, learning and organisational development, work health and safety, and payroll functions.  

Sonya is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of Australian HR Institute. Sonya holds the positions of Chair of the Board for both The Big Issue and Homes for Homes.

Scott Wall - Chief Technology Officer

BSc, MBA

Scott joined Bank Australia in 2022 as Chief Transformation Officer, and subsequently Chief Technology Officer in 2024. Scott has 30 years’ experience as a technology leader in Australia and the UK.

Scott has senior executive responsibility for the management of our technology, transformation delivery, data analytics & insights, enterprise architecture and operational excellence functions.

Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, an MBA from London Business School, and is currently studying for his Masters of Artificial Intelligence at RMIT.

Cindy Hansen - Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary

Cindy became Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary of Bank Australia Ltd in July 2025. She was previously Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Qudos Bank having joined Qudos Bank in 2000.  

Cindy has senior executive responsibility for our legal, company secretary, impact management, transformation governance and internal audit functions.  

Cindy also holds voluntary positions as an Elected Councillor for HCF and as a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Finance Industry Association (AFIA). She is proud to be a signatory to the Banking & Finance Oath.

Kevin Ramsdale - Chief Marketing Officer

Kevin became Chief Marketing Officer of Bank Australia Ltd in July 2025, and was previously Chief Marketing Officer at Qudos Bank since January 2024.  

Kevin has senior executive responsibility for our marketing, corporate affairs, brand strategy digital experience, and product functions.  

Kevin has over 30 years’ experience in customer facing roles spanning marketing, communications, digital, product, sales and service across a range of industries and operating environments. Kevin also acts as an advisor to Australian fintech and start-up businesses.

Patrick Ashkettle - Chief Risk Officer

BCA, MBA

Patrick was appointed Chief Risk Officer in March 2014. He previously spent 24 years working across superannuation, institutional and retail banking.

Patrick has senior executive responsibility for our enterprise risk, financial risk, operational risk,  compliance, and dispute resolution functions.  

Patrick has an MBA and has studied at the London Business School. He is also a member of the Risk Management Institute of Australasia.
