What is Click to Pay?

Visa Click to Pay is a secure online checkout experience that allows cardholders to pay without repeatedly entering card details. It uses tokenisation and Visa security to help keep your payments safe while making checkout faster and easier.

What are the benefits?

Enhanced security

Your card details are never shared directly with the online store. Click to Pay uses tokenisation to protect against unauthorised transactions.

Faster checkouts

Whenever you see the Click to Pay icon, you can make your payment with a few clicks, without manually entering your card details.

Easy management

You can review and manage your Click to Pay profile directly through Bank Australia Internet Banking.

Who is eligible?

From September 2026, all Visa cardholders will automatically be enrolled to use Click to Pay.  You are not required to download an app, create an account, or proactively enroll for the service. 

Where can cardholders use Click to Pay? 

Click to Pay is available at participating online merchants that support the Click to Pay checkout experience. 

How to use Click to Pay

  1. Look for the Click to Pay icon at checkout
  2. Select your saved Bank Australia card
  3. Confirm your purchase

How can I un-enrol from Click to Pay or change my preferences?

If you’d like to opt out of Click to Pay or change your card preferences or details, please contact us on 132 888.

Q: Which cards are eligibile for Click to Pay?

A: The following activated Bank Australia cards are eligibile:

  • Visa debit card
  • Low Rate Visa credit card
  • Visa Credit card
  • Platinum Rewards Visa Credit card

Q: How do I opt out of Click to Pay?

A: You can opt out at any time by calling our Contact Centre on 132 888, and our team will help you.

Q: Can I use Click to Pay in-store?

A: No, Click to Pay is only available for online payments.

Q: Where can I use Click to Pay?

A: You can use Click to Pay at participating online retailers that offer it as a checkout option. Just look for the Click to Pay symbol when you’re paying online.

Q: What happens if I select “Remember me” during Click to Pay checkout?

A: Selecting “Remember me” saves your device or browser so you can check out faster next time without needing to verify your identity each time. For your security, only choose this option on a trusted personal device.

Q: Are card details shared with merchants?

A: No. Transactions are completed using tokenised credentials, reducing exposure of card details during checkout.
