The bank with clean money is the Bank Australia needs.
What does your bank invest in?
If the answer includes fossil fuels, weapons, tobacco or gambling, it's likely that the interest you're paying on your car loan is supporting these industries.
Divestment makes a difference
Joining a bank that doesn't fund harmful industries, such as fossil fuels, is a tangible step towards a more sustainable future.
You can help make a positive impact
By moving your banking to Bank Australia, you are ensuring your money isn’t supporting the fossil fuel industry or industries that harm people and the planet.
Our LEV Car Loan
Electric, hybrid, green - all words we want to hear when our customers decide to purchase a new car.
It's a big decision, for you and for our planet. In 2016, cars and commercial vehicles contributed over 11% of all greenhouse gas emissions produced in Australia1.
We want to support you and your car to get that figure down. One key way we can do that is by helping you purchase a low emission vehicle like an electric or hybrid car.
Our LEV Car Loan is designed especially for low emission vehicles like a Tesla, Nissan Leaf or Hyundai Ioniq.
It means you get a full 1% off our normal car loan interest rate (that's a good thing) making it more affordable for you to make a clean, green decision.
Why choose our LEV Car Loan?
Car Loan offer for low emission vehicles
Vehicles that meet Bank Australia Low Emission Vehicle# (LEV) criteria are eligible to have the $150 establishment fee waived and a 1% interest rate discount applied.
Carbon emission offset
Our car loans offset your car’s carbon emissions for the life of the loan^. Even if you go fully electric, we want to account for people using electricity from the grid.
Flexible loan terms
Loan term of up to 7 years for new cars or 5 years for used cars.
Option to make weekly, fortnightly and monthly repayments. No monthly loan administration or late payment fees, with extra repayments welcome.

^Carbon emissions: We calculate emissions associated with each car loan based on average vehicle emissions figures and average mileage figures for Australian vehicles (sources: National Greenhouse Accounts Factors and Australian Bureau of Statistics). For each car loan, we use the average vehicle emissions factor multiplied by the share of the year that the car loan was active. To access this rate, we require a Goods Security Agreement on the car. The car must also be registered in the name of the borrower.
*Comparison rate: The Comparison Rate is based on a secured loan of $30,000 for 5 years. Additional fees and charges may be applicable. WARNING: This comparison rate is true only for the example given and may not include all fees and charges.
#Bank Australia Low Emission Vehicle criteria: Bank Australia may provide a Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) pricing benefit if the car is Pure Electric, Plug In Hybrid Electric, Regenerative Hybrid or the internal combustion engine produces less than 125 g / km Tailpipe C02 (g/km) as published by Green Vehicle Guide©.
