Our liquidity requirements

Bank Australia maintains a portfolio of liquid assets to ensure we have access to a sufficient amount of cash to comfortably meet the needs of our customers and requirements of our regulator APRA. We have a range of investments, ensuring a diversified exposure, and this generally includes bonds from other banks. We prioritise green/sustainable bonds where they are available and will increase our investment in these bonds as more become available.

Our shares

Bank Australia holds shares in subsidiary companies, and is a shareholder in two major service suppliers:

  • Cuscal (a provider of wholesale and transactional banking services)
  • Data Action (a supplier of core banking and data network facilities)
