What is a Trust for Nature Conservation Covenant?

A Conservation Covenant is a permanent, legally-binding agreement placed on a property's title to make sure bushland on the property is protected forever. All agreements are voluntary, and negotiated between Trust for Nature and each individual land owner.

Trust for Nature registered its first Conservation Covenant in 1987. It now has more than 1,300 Conservation Covenants, protecting more than 61,000 hectares across Victoria. To learn more about this great work, visit the Trust for Nature website.
