Saving for a home deposit is a real challenge while working, renting and studying, or if you’re raising a family. And we know how important the goal of home ownership is for many of our customers. So we’ve signed on as an approved lender for a new initiative that will help up to 10,000 families each year own a home.
The Regional First Home Buyer Guarantee allows eligible regional home buyers on low and middle incomes to purchase a home with a deposit of as little as 5%. This means the often-significant barrier of Lender’s Mortgage Insurance (LMI) is removed, and first home buyers have a better chance of achieving their dream of purchasing a home.
