Australian Network for Plant Conservation

The Flora Discovery Project will train community-based volunteer groups and citizen scientists in regional areas of Queensland to undertake targeted flora surveys and fill key gaps in the knowledge of our threatened plant species. Five workshops will be held to build their capacity to conduct highly valuable population surveys of rare flora.

Wahluu Health Legal Outreach supports a fortnightly legal clinic at Wundirra Community Centre in Kelso, NSW, offering free, culturally safe legal services for Aboriginal clients. It strengthens justice reinvestment through early legal support, community partnerships, and co-designed delivery — promoting self-determination, reducing legal system contact, and empowering Aboriginal voices in justice reform.

Migrant students celebrating International Women’s Day at GEALC

The EmpowerHer program will be run with support by the Glen Eira Adult Learning Centre Incorporated, to support migrant women facing family violence and employment barriers through 3 8-week trauma-informed programs. Delivered at GEALC’s McKinnon site, it offers workshops, guest speakers, and tailored support focused on safety, rights, financial literacy, and job readiness, with interpreters and peer networks ensuring cultural safety and accessibility.

The Mycelia Energy Collective program helps households experiencing disadvantage and vulnerability to improve energy efficiency, comfort, and reduce energy costs. Mycelia provide free energy assessments and financial support for energy efficiency and electrification upgrades tailored to each household's needs and financial situation. They also follow a 5-step, care-centred process through trusted relationships and networks.

National Ethnic Disability Alliance Inc. (NEDA)

Maryanne Cosic, President, National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA)

NEDA is a Disabled People’s Organisation that advocates nationally for people with disability from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. With their grant they will organise trauma-informed, accessible workshops exploring stigma and shame among people with disability from CALD backgrounds, and use storytelling and shared strategies to promote awareness and systemic change.

Open Table's Open Pantry program transforms rescued food into nourishing meals, pantry staples, and moments of connection. Through weekly lunches, a daily community pantry, and bimonthly markets in North Fitzroy and Fitzroy, it offers free, welcoming access to food — helping reduce waste, ease financial stress, and build a more connected local community.

Project Respect Incorporated

Project Respect's grant will go towards 6 facilitated art therapy group sessions for women and gender diverse people with experience in the sex industry, or with experiences of sexual exploitation. Sessions are held in an inclusive, trauma informed and stigma free environment. A meal is provided, and those with accessibility challenges are assisted with transport.

Graduation at the Abbotsford Empowerment Hub

SisterWorks will run an EmpowerHer Pathways program, a 9-week, customer service training program designed to support 100 women from refugee, asylum-seeking, and migrant backgrounds who face significant barriers to employment. Through their practical training and personalised support, EmpowerHer Pathways aims to advance gender equality and promote universal access to education.

The Returning Indigenous Corporation

The Indigenous Mother Care Program is an Indigenous-led program supporting Indigenous mothers and carers on Bundjalung Country (Northern NSW). Through the provision of 6 weeks of nourishing and nutrient-dense food, the program supports the healthy foundations of mother, baby and their family, while also reducing financial strains on the family.
