How does the Visa Debit card work?

A Visa Debit card is linked to the funds available in your account. Using a Visa Debit card, you can withdraw cash at any Bank Australia ATM, all of the major bank ATMs and at any ATM worldwide displaying the Visa logo. You can also make purchases at eftpos terminals at supermarkets and retail stores and wherever Visa is accepted.

If you have a Visa Debit card you can also deposit money in your account at Australia Post outlets offering [email protected]

We will give you a unique personal identification number (PIN) for your Visa Debit card so you can securely access funds using ATMs, eftpos terminals or [email protected]

Merchants have the option of including a surcharge when you use a Visa Debit card.
