Common card questions

How to activate your Visa card?

There are three different ways to activate your card:

1. Login to internet banking and from the menu select Services > Activate card
2. Call 132 888 during office hours (8am-8pm Mon-Fri EST)
3. Visit your nearest branch

With internet banking you can also change your PIN and report your card lost or stolen. 

What do you do if you've lost your card?

If your card has been stolen or lost, please report it immediately to minimise the risk of unauthorised use. You can report a lost or stolen card from internet banking under 'Services' or you can contact us on 132 888 from within Australia or +61 3 9854 4666 from overseas. If you are calling outside of business hours please listen to our after hours message for directions.

Replacement card: If you are within Australia your card be replaced within five working days. 

How do you get a card PIN? 

We sent your card personal identification number (PIN) around the time we sent your card. If you don’t know or haven't received your PIN, contact us on 132 888 to order a new card and PIN.

Can you choose your own PIN? 

You can change your personal identification number (PIN) online within Internet Banking. When changing the PIN in Internet Banking you do not need to know your old PIN. Simply login, and access the change PIN online function by clicking on “Services”, and then select “Card Management”.

Do you have Apple Pay or Android Pay?

Yes we do, visit our digital wallets section to find out how you can use these with your Bank Australia Visa debit or credit card. 

What is happening with the replacement of rediCARDs with Visa Debit cards?

Bank Australia has stopped issuing new rediCARDs, and will replace them with Visa Debit cards.

All customers with an active rediCARD will automatically receive a Visa Debit card when their cards are due for renewal. Visit our rediCARD replacement page for more information.
